Our Story
Bass Agritech founder and CEO Parker Bass invented the Temprevent™ sensor system to help bring farming into the 21st Century.
Parker grew up on a family farm in the Missouri Ozarks. The Basses raise beef cattle, primarily horned Herefords and black Angus, and harvest hay for their cattle. In the autumn of 2016, a hay baler caught fire at the Bass farm; fortunately no one was injured and the fire was contained, but it caused severe damage to the baler and tractor.
Having an interest in computers and electronics, Parker decided to eliminate this problem with technology. It took lots of time and experimentation, but in the spring of 2018 he built and tested the first Temprevent™ sensor prototype. Since then, our sensors have seen a constant process of improvement and refinement, and today they stand as the pinnacle of bleeding-edge wireless temperature sensor technology.
From 2017 to 2021, Parker attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he studied electrical engineering and computer science. After MIT, he came home to the farm to continue pushing Temprevent™ sensors forward.
All Temprevent™ sensors are designed and assembled in Rogersville, Missouri on the Bass family farm.
