Temprevent Heat Sensor

Temprevent sensors are designed to be as straightforward to operate as possible. After unboxing your sensors and turning them on, simply touch the plus icon in the lower left of the app to set them up. You can add sensors individually or add many at once.

Once set up, your sensors will automatically connect to the nearest device running the Temprevent app with your account logged in. From the main screen, you are able to see all your sensors, whether they are connected, and temperature of connected sensors. Tapping on a sensor gives you more detail, including its estimated battery life, signal strength, and unique ID. From this screen you can rename your sensor, set a unique alarm threshold, and blink an LED on the sensor to identify it out of a group.

The sensor has a durable clear enclosure that is IP68-rated for waterproof operation. The enclosure is gasketed and sealed with four screws, so no dust or moisture can penetrate. Unscrewing and opening the enclosure allows you to turn the sensor on or off to save power, as well as plug it in to recharge via USB Micro-B.

Temprevent sensors were originally designed for use in hay balers, but have been used on combines (for all crops), cotton pickers, cotton strippers, grain elevators, feed mills, feed trucks, and in many more applications. Their durability and effortless use make them a perfect fit for any agricultural or industrial setting. Fire prevention is certainly an obvious benefit, but preventing overheating that doesn't result in fire can also eliminate huge repair costs and expensive downtime.
